Overview

NUTSS is a network architecture that combines data-decoupled signaling and data-coupled signaling to establish Internet flows. NUTSS facilitates NAT traversal, mobility, and high-level description and enforcement of security policies. This package implements the NUTSS architecture as a userspace library that can be used by new as well as legacy applications with minimal effort.

Features

The main features of NUTSS are:

• Long-term stable endpoint naming (through URIs) instead of transient IP addresses and ports
• Dynamic discovery of named endpoints
• NAT traversal to establish connection to endpoints behind a NAT, or between two NAT'ed endpoints using STUNT and in extreme cases, using TURN
• Transparent support for legacy applications
